Sorrento Web was born in 1999 as one of the first websites about Sorrento: a guide to its history, monuments, traditions and food. Today it is the portal that brings together where to stay, where to eat, where to go to the beach and what to see between Sorrento and Vico Equense.

Our story

The first sorrentoweb.com was created by MDA Informatica of Sant'Agnello, telling in Italian and English the history of Sorrento, its famous people, the places to see and the flavours of the coast. After more than twenty years the site has been rebuilt from scratch: the listings are new, and the historical guide has been rewritten, updated and translated into five languages.

How it works

Every property has a page with photos, services and its direct contacts: phone, WhatsApp, email and official website. You book directly with the hotel, restaurant or beach club, with no intermediaries and no commission. The owners themselves keep their page up to date from a private panel.

Who builds it

The new Sorrento Web is designed and developed by Manolo De Angelis, web developer at Mda Informatica. The five-language website, the panel where owners update their own listing and the API behind the app are all custom-built, with no off-the-shelf platform: light pages that load fast even on a phone, and direct contact with your hosts.

Sorrento Web is a project by Mda Informatica S.a.s., a web agency from Sant'Agnello that has been creating websites and digital services for tourism on the Sorrento Peninsula for over twenty years, together with the technology partners you find at the bottom of the page.
