Hotels and places to stay in Sorrento
Sorrento is the heart of the peninsula and the easiest base for getting around: hydrofoils leave Marina Piccola for Capri, Naples and, in summer, the Amalfi Coast, while the Circumvesuviana railway links the town to Pompeii and Herculaneum. You can choose between hotels on the edge of the cliffs, looking out over the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius, and places to stay in the old town, a short walk from Piazza Tasso.
